Vivitrol is a monthly shot that contains Naltraxone which is a blocker for Opioids. The recommended treatment is 12 months and may be longer depending on clients persistent risk factors. Counseling is a must and expected once a week.
Ideal candidate is someone who has been off Opioids for a month and is at risk for relapse.
The cost of the shot itself alone is $1300 and if client can’t afford it we have samples that are free of charge and the client will be charged based on sliding scale fee for the visit with doctor, urine drug tests and counseling.
Vivitrol will only be given to patients that we can confirm and verify 30 days opioid, bupernorphine, and methadone free.
