Sara Schmalz - MS, LPC, SAC

Sara Schmalz has a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health with a specialization in Addictions from Marquette University. Mrs. Schmalz has had experience working as a counselor in a dual-diagnosis residential treatment setting. In addition, Mrs. Schmalz worked as a Forensic Specialist assisting clients in the criminal justice system, who were diagnosed with a severe and persistant mental illness, reintegrate into the community.

Mrs. Schmalz utilities the therapeutic techniques of: Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care, and Gender-Responsive Care. Mrs. Schmalz believes in meeting the client where they are at by creating a specific, unique, and individualized treatment plan that is client-centered.
