William Frazer-Collins MS, LPC, SAC-IT is a fully licensed professional counselor (LPC) with his masters in educational psychology with the focus of community counseling from UW Milwaukee. Previous work experience includes group home work with adolescents with severe and persistent mental illness. Other experience was gained through time working at a residential correctional facility for juveniles.
Will believes it is important to meet patients “where they’re at.” This means treating them with respect, and approaching them without judgment. His approach to treatment is direct, but always respectful. He feels that everyone’s story is different, and therefore his approach is tailored to the client. He works with each client to help them to come to their own conclusions, not tell them what to do. Through counseling, clients will develop their own insight into themselves and their lives. He believes that education is very important, and considerable time is spent teaching client about addiction and “why they do what they do.” Will has experience with crisis stabilization and de-escalation, suicide intervention and prevention, ADHD, substance abuse, anxiety, depression and trauma.
